Carrion Crow      Corvus corone

Appearance A large, familiar all-black bird, with a heavy black bill. 
Size: 45-49cm tall
Voice Loud kraa-kraa.
Habitat Towns, heaths, estuaries and woods.
Food Carrion, birds, eggs, insects, worms and grain.
Breeding Habits 4-6 eggs in a cup-like nest near the top of a tree.  Incubation takes 18-20 days and fledging takes 4-5 weeks. 
1 brood per year; March-May.
Location in Wet Woodland This bird was only heard once flying over the wet woodland.  It may well breed in woodland nearby.
