Butterflies

Brimstone butterfly seen Lake area, enjoying winter sunshine and mild weather, by Mike Manvill. 19thJanuary.

 

 

There is a considerable increase in the number of bird species seen this month, up from 22 to 30. Last January there were no thrushes but this year Redwing, Song and Mistle thrush were all present. Marsh tits also returned in good numbers.
