Marsh tit

Robin

 
Long-tailed tit Green works caravan area.
Great tit In mixed flocks of tits, most areas of woodland.
Blue tit In mixed flocks of tits, most areas of woodland.
Coal tit Fir trees near Log Cabin.
Marsh tit Lake area.
Chiffchaff On willow near Log Cabin and Green works caravan area.
Willow warbler Juvenile seen Green works caravan area.
Goldcrest Near main entrance.
Woodpigeon Lake area and around Monument Pond.
Blackbird Beech Walk. Log Cabin area.
Robin Most areas of woodland.
Wren Near Log Cabin and Kingfisher Pond. Two adults feeding two chicks near the Lake. (15th. August)
Bullfinch Two adults and two juveniles near Dragonfly Pond, female near Green works caravan (12th August). Female feeding on blackberries near Log Cabin (27th August).
Chaffinch Glow-worm Rise area.
Jay (Adult and juvenile) Monument Pond area.
Raven Flying over Dragonfly Pond.
Nuthatch On oak trees near Lake Classroom. Near main entrance.
Rook Flying over the Heathland.
Buzzard Flying over the Heathland.
Goshawk On small oak tree near the Lake. (3.30 pm, 15th August) This bird is much larger than the female sparrowhawk, size around 20-21 inches)
Treecreeper Monument Pond.
Mallard Female seen on the Lake.
Moorhen Juvenile near the Hide, Wetlands area, Two adults on Dragonfly Pond.
Great Spotted woodpecker On alder tree near Dragonfly Pond.
Swallow Flying over the Lake.
House martin Flying above the Heathland.
Kingfisher On the Leat near toilets

Butterflies, Dragonflies & Damselflies seen during August on reserve.

 

Butterflies:

Meadow Brown, Common Blue, Brimstone, Red Admiral, Peacock, Large White, Marbled White, Ringlet, Gatekeeper, Green-veined White, Silver-washed Fritillary, Speckled Wood.

 

Damselfly:

Blue-tailed, Common Blue.

 

Dragonfly:

Golden-ringed (Male and female), Southern Hawker (Male), Common Darter (Male and female). Ruddy Darter (Male).
