Woodland Restoration Area

| The Woodland Restoration area was cleared of mature rhododendron more than 10 years ago. In order to keep this woodland compartment free of rhododendron the saplings must be pulled. A very hard working group from the Environment Agency based in Exeter came out and swept through the wood pulling all the saplings, even those surrounded by very prickly brambles! All the saplings were then burnt up. This task will be repeated each year. | |
