Stage 1 Rhododendron Control

This area of rhododendron was very mature and dense and a contractor using a chainsaw cut the stems down and the volunteers have done a really good job of burning up all the brash.

The work has been carried out with the help of many different organisations and groups, including the East Devon AONB. Kimmo Evans, the AONB's Communications Officer came out with a work experience student from Woodroffe School in Lyme Regis to help burn up all the brash (above, with regular volunteer Lizzie Hinchcliffe).
